Q1 Communication is an interactive process: briefly explain

Ans.the communication itself is a multimodal interactive process. Communication is a main way to express our view as speaker to receiver. Communication is the transfer of meaning.

Communication has seven elements:

Sender

Message

Receiver

Feedback

Channel.

Q2. Definition and give an examples of verbal, non verbal and graphic communication?

Ans.verbal communication-the process of sending and receiving massage with massage, includig writing sign language. When be communication verbally with others,in a conversation, or in a presentation,our usual goal is to have people understand what we are trying to say.people bring their own attitudes, opinion, emotios,and experiences tand this often clouds their perception of our massage. In other word we can say verbal communication is a reciprocal between two or more entities.

Examples-

Writing, listing, speaking. Singing, and sometimes tone of voice.

Non verbal communication-

Non verbal communication can we communicated through gesture and toucu, body language or facial expressions and eye contact.nvc has been defined as communication without words. It included apparent behaviours such as touchig, eye contact as well as less obvious massage such as dress, poster, and spatial distance between two or more people. In contrast nonverbal communication involves those non verbal stimuli in a communication setting that are generated by the source speaker and his or her use of the environment and that have potential massage value for the receiver. Basically it is sending and receiving massage in a variety of ways without the use of verbal words.

Examples-

Body language, Facial expression, Eye contact, Sign language, paralanguage, touches, by writing.

Graphic communication-the processes and industries that create, devlop, and produce, and disseminate products utilizing or incorporating words and pictorial images to convey information, ideas, and feelings. Graphic communication as the name suggests is communication through graphic and graphical aids. It is the process of crating, producing, and distributing material incorporating words and images to convey data, concepts, and emotions.

Examples- photogaphes, drawing, line art, graphs, diagrams, typography, numbers,

Symbol, geometric design, maps, or other images.

Q3. (a) Define the term sender and receiver?

Ans. Sender- someone who transmits a message. A device that accepts address information from a register or routing information from a translator, and then transmits the proper routing information to a trunk or to local equipment. In other words we can say sender means the person giving the instructions to the receiving bank.

Receiver-the receiver is information theory is the receiving end of a communication channel. It receives decoded information/messages from sender, who first encoded them. Sometime the receiver is modelled so as to include the decoder. Real word when the first person receives the information from second person that is called receiver.

(b) Define the term message?

Message-Any notice, word, or communication, written or verbal, sent from one person to another. The message is a unit which takes one or more word. Through massage person can express their feelings, communicate with with each other, and containing some information. A usually short communication transmitted by words, signals, or other means from one person, station, or group to another.

(c) Define the term feedback?

Ans. Feedback-describe the situation when output from an event in the past will influence the same event in the present or future. The return of a portion of the output of a system to the input, especially when used to maintain performance or to control a system. When sender give information through the message to receiver and receiver gave back answer sender message the answer is a receiver feedback.

Q4. Perception? (a) Define the term

Ans.perception-the act of perceiving, cognizance by the senses or intellect, apprehension by the bodily organs or by their own thinking, or what is presented to them.

(b) List the four factors that may influence the perception of the sender or receiver of a message.

(b)1. Verbal communication- verbal communication further divided into written oral communication. The oral communication refers to the spoken word in the communication process. Example writing, speaking, singing, sometime tone of voice.

2. Non verbal communication- non verbal communication includes the overall body language of the person who is speaking, which will include the body posture, the hand gesture, and overall body movemants.Examples sketches, paintings, photographs.

3. Formal communication- formal communication include the all the instances where communication has to occur in a set formal format. This can include all business communication and corporate communication. Examples meetings, official conference, written memos and corporate letters.

4. Interpersonal communication- is the process that helps us express our feelings, ideas, and thoughts, with the people around us. Examples- speaking face to face

Writing e-mail, letters, and sms. Body language, sign language.
