ASSESMENT TASK : COLLECTING & CONVEYING INFORMATION
TASK
For this task u are going to interview a partner about their work or their work or educational experience until now . During the interview, u will be observed & assessed by a assessor . Once u have collected the information , u need to present it in a presentation.
The presentation should include the following information :
*Where they have worked (names)
*When(dates)
*Frequency(full time etc)
*Duties /responsibilities
*The work environment(interaction with colleagues/supervisiors etc)
*Rules/regulations of the workplace(procedure, etc)
*Most useful skills they learnt.
PRESENTATION
In our class our trainer grouped us in groups of three & told us to pursue our presentation .During presentation I interviewed with my two friends named Silu & Amandeep & then I asked them the questions which are listed above.
Firstly I interviewed with Silu & I came to know about her that she belongs to Sri Lanka & there she worked as a web designer in Sri Lanka in private sector. She worked for one year & learnt creative skills about web designing & moreover she also learned computer skills & meeting deadlines also. There she had so many responsibilities: she had to reach her company well in time & have to submit her work on time .But there she felt freedom of work to carry out her designs due to the soft rules of the company.I have observed that she really enjoyed a lot while working in that soft environment.But on the other side if she don’t work properly then sometimes her boss questioned her also.There was no dress code of the company she was free to wear different types of dresses of her own choice .There she learned the value of discipline & time .
After this I interviewed with Amandeep Kaur & I came to know that she belongs to Punjab ,India.There she worked as a broken in stock exchange on contract basis.She worked in that field for about 6 months.I have observed that firstly she don’t have any knowledge. But after joining she learned a lot .Her duty was just to purchase shares & then she sold them in the market .But the profit that she gained from the shares she directly put that in the boss account & then her boss manages the shares & then he allocates that share among the brokens .It seemed that she really worked in an cooperative environment .I have also observed that the rules & regulations of her workplace was so hard as she had to borrow shares on competent rates which may be difficult for her. But from there she learned a lot about the management skills of money , time & discipline.
SECOND PRESENTATION
In this u will be required to talk to a client in a face to face situation. U will be paired with another student who will play the role of client.
The assessment criteria for this task is as follows:
Correct forms of greeting , identification & address are used
Interaction is consistent with the needs of the organization is presented in a positive way & client- centered way
The needs of the client are clarified & noted where appropriate
Discretion & confidentiality are exercised where appropriate personal
Time is used efficiently
Appropriate follow –up steps are taken
